Nasmah Collection Guide: How to Choose Your Perfect Nasmah Scent

Walk into any perfume shop and you will meet the same problem. There are too many bottles and too little time. You spray one, then another, then a third, and soon everything smells the same. You leave with nothing, or with a bottle you never wear.

We wrote this guide so that never happens with Nasmah. We have already shared the story of our London launch and the people behind it. This time, we want to help you with one simple thing: finding the Nasmah scent that truly fits you.

The Name

What Does Nasmah Mean?

In Arabic, "nasmah" means a soft breeze, a gentle breath of air. Think of the first cool wind that drifts in once the desert sun goes down. Soft, clean and quietly welcome.

We built every Nasmah bottle around that feeling. Reeh Al Madinah has worked with oud and Arabian perfumery since 1991, when our founder, Mr. Muradul Islam, started the house in the UAE. Oud is deep and rich, and many people love it. But some people find traditional Arabian scents too heavy for daily life in London, Dubai or anywhere else.

Nasmah is our answer. It keeps the warmth of our heritage, then lets it breathe. Every bottle should feel like that breeze: easy to wear, but still full of character.

The Collection at a Glance

Nasmah first arrived in October 2025 with three Eau de Parfums and three all over sprays. In July 2026, we added five new Eau de Parfums. Today the collection includes:

• Eight Eau de Parfums: Darven Oud, Rubesse, Velmos, Café Fire, Citraya Musk, Tobacco Matcha, Spécila and Winter's Love
• Three all over sprays: Gyselle, Oud Velle and Canario

Every Nasmah Eau de Parfum comes in a 100ml bottle. Most are unisex. Rubesse is made for women and Velmos is made for men, but plenty of our customers enjoy them across the line.

Citraya Musk

Citraya Musk is the brightest scent in Nasmah. It opens with yuzu and grapefruit, moves into green tea and mandarin, and settles on clean musk and amber. On skin it reads like freshly washed linen drying in bright sunshine. Wear it to the office, to the gym, or on any day you do not want to think too hard.

Fougère · Men

Velmos

Velmos is fresh too, but in a more outdoor way. Bergamot, citrus and tangerine sit on top. Ginger and lavender give it a warm herbal middle, while patchouli, oakmoss and woods ground it at the end. It belongs to the fougère family, a classic style in men's perfume. Think of a long walk through a green forest in the early light.

Café Fire

Café Fire is for anyone who loves the smell of a good coffee shop. Cardamom, bergamot and brown sugar open it up. Then come creamy caramel, vanilla and cacao. Finally, roasted coffee, a touch of smoke and patchouli. It is sweet, bold and comforting. Perfect for evenings, dinner dates and cold weekends.

Winter's Love

Winter's Love is the richest scent in the collection. Cardamom, pink pepper, lime and galbanum start things off. Olibanum, Turkish rose and geranium form the heart. The base goes deep with agarwood (oud), leather, patchouli and sandalwood. This is where Nasmah comes closest to our oud roots. It is made for cold nights, long coats and special plans.

Tobacco Matcha

Tobacco Matcha is the most unusual bottle in the line. The first spray brings cinnamon, clove and a creamy ylang ylang flower. Soon a green matcha accent appears beside soft pear and a curl of incense, before tobacco leaf and amber take over in the drydown. Imagine sipping tea beside a spice market as evening falls. Reach for it on a lazy Sunday or a long, relaxed night in.

Darven Oud

Darven Oud is a woody aromatic scent inspired by the desert breeze. Lemon and cardamom sit on top, patchouli and lavender in the middle, and amber, cedar and a soft gourmand touch at the base. It is bold, but never loud. Many customers wear it as their everyday signature.

Spécila is a true classic. Bergamot, lavender and citrus open it. Rose, geranium and more lavender fill the heart. The base is generous: patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, vanilla, amber, musk and tonka. Picture a fresh bouquet resting on a warm wooden table. It suits anyone who loves a polished, timeless style.

Lighter & Easier

Where Do the All Over Sprays Fit?

The three Nasmah all over sprays, Gyselle, Oud Velle and Canario, are lighter and more relaxed than the Eau de Parfums. You can spray them more freely during the day for a quick fresh lift. They also come at a friendlier price, so they make a lovely first step into Nasmah or a simple gift for someone new to our brand.

Before You Buy

A Simple Way to Test Nasmah

Before you choose, test the right way. It only takes a little patience.

1. Test on skin, not paper. A blotter reveals only the first few minutes, while skin shows how the blend really grows.
2. Wait at least 30 minutes. Openings vanish fast, and the heart and base are what people will notice around you.
3. Try no more than three at once. Beyond that point your sense of smell loses focus and every sample starts to merge.
4. Revisit it before bed. If it still makes you smile hours later, that is your bottle.

Wear It Well

How to Make Your Nasmah Last

Each Nasmah Eau de Parfum is built to stay with you through a full working day, often 8 to 12 hours depending on your skin. These easy habits stretch that time even further:

• Spray soon after bathing, while your skin is still soft and lightly moisturised.
• Aim for warm spots such as the inner wrists, the base of the throat and the inner elbows.
• Let it dry on its own. Rubbing crushes the opening notes before they can shine.
• Store the bottle in a cool cupboard rather than a sunny shelf or a steamy bathroom.

Every Nasmah blend was refined again and again before it was approved, led by our COO Adnan Murad and the next generation of our family. The goal was always the same: keep our heritage, but make it easy to love today.
