Our Story

From 1,200 Dirhams to the King of Oud.

In 1986, a young man from Bangladesh arrived in Abu Dhabi with no wealth and a 1,200 AED salary. Four years later, he bet his entire life savings on a single suitcase of Oud from Bangkok. That gamble became Reeh Al Madinah — a house built on risk, trust, and the finest Oud on earth.

Chapter One

The arrival.

In 1986, Mr. Muradul Islam arrived in the United Arab Emirates from Bangladesh. He carried no wealth, no business, and no guarantees — only a dream and the willingness to work for it.

He found his first job at the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society, Khalidiya branch, earning a modest salary of 1,200 AED a month.

For four years, he did what few have the patience for. He saved. He watched. He listened. Living among Oud traders, he learned the language of fragrance — the difference between a good wood and a great one, and the names that shaped the UAE's perfume trade.

1990
Chapter Two

The great risk.

By 1990, he had saved 20,000 AED — every fil earned through discipline.

Then a friend returned from Bangkok with a batch of Oud and offered it to him: "Just take it."

Mr. Muradul Islam faced a choice no one could make for him: keep his entire life's savings, or risk everything on a business he didn't yet own.

He chose the risk.

1990
Chapter Three

The breakthrough.

With a suitcase of Oud and no guaranteed buyers, he was introduced to one of the most respected Emirati businessmen of the era — the late Salem Al Saman, a man known across the UAE for his generosity and sharp eye for quality.

Salem Al Saman took the Oud in his hands. He breathed in the scent. And he said one word: "Good."

He bought the entire batch for 35,000 AED.

In a single afternoon, Mr. Muradul Islam earned a profit of 15,000 Dirhams — more than he used to earn in an entire year. But more importantly, it gave him something money cannot buy: trust.

1991 — TODAY
Chapter Four

The legacy.

In 1991, Mr. Muradul Islam founded what would become Reeh Al Madinah — a name now recognized across the Gulf and beyond as a house of authentic, high-quality Oud and luxury Arabic perfumes.

Over three decades, he has grown from a one-man trader into one of the region's most prominent Oud merchants, curating a collection of more than 20 varieties of the finest Oud — including rare grades reserved for VIP clients.

Today, Reeh Al Madinah serves customers across the UAE, UK, and globally — known not just for the quality of its fragrance, but for the integrity behind every bottle.

IN HIS OWN WORDS
I was working at the Abu Dhabi Cooperative, the Khalidiya branch. I had saved 20,000 Dirhams, bit by bit. That was my very first start.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Three values. Thirty-four years. Zero compromise.

I

QUALITY

Every bottle is sourced directly, tested personally, and verified by the founder. We carry more than 20 varieties of Oud — including rare grades reserved for VIP clients.

II

HONESTY

The value Salem Al Saman saw first — and the value we have never traded away. What we say about a fragrance is what you will smell in the bottle.

III

GRATITUDE

To the UAE, to our mentors, and to every customer who has trusted us since 1991. A brand is nothing without the people who believe in it first.

IN MEMORY & GRATITUDE

The men who believed first.

"They didn't just buy from me. They encouraged me. Even if they didn't need the Oud, they would give me money just to support me. I will never forget them."

Every bottle is a 34-year story.
Every scent, a signature of trust.

Reeh Al Madinah is not a fragrance factory. We are a family, building slowly, bottle by bottle, the way Arabian perfumery was always meant to be. The hands that test every batch are the same hands that took that first risk in 1990. That is the promise behind our name.

EXPERIENCE THE STORY

The scent of a 34-year journey.

Every bottle carries three decades of craft, memory, and dedication.
